Mysterious Places

May 3, 2003 We were invited by Mike Frizzel of the Enigma Project, (based in MD) to join them in a research project of some mysterious stone chambers in the Hudson Valley of NY. The stone chambers are an unexplained mystery, some speculate they were built as root cellars, some say as a place of shelter and storage for revolutionary war soldiers, some say they were built by ancient Celtics. Since there is no recorded history of the chambers no one knows for sure who built them or why they were built. It is in the area of these chambers where unexplained phenomena occurs, many people have had encounters with aliens, ghosts, and UFO sightings in or around the locations of the chambers. What secrets do they hold? Some of the chambers are in danger of being destroyed by land developers as archeologists don't believe the chambers are a significant find, our mission was to document the chambers with photographs, video, emf readings, and measurements before they are destroyed. Earlier reports had stated the entrance to each chamber was said to have high magnetic readings, however I had used a tri field emf meter and found no increase or decrease in the magnetic field. Compasses had also been used with no abnormal readings. It was a unique experience to be there and be witness to these mysterious chambers before they are forever lost to history. We hope to go back in the near future to conduct more research on the hundreds of chambers that exist in NY. We had a great time and would like to thank Mike Frizzel and Marcus Adams for sharing their time with us.

May 4, 2003 On the way back home from NY on a suggestion by Mike Frizzel, we decided to stop by Ringing Rocks state park near Upper Black Eddy, PA. There are few places in the world where the ringing of rocks occurs, this is due to the composition of the rock. Striking the rock with a hammer produces different ringing sounds and only 70% of the rocks in the 7 acres of will ring. It is said that instruments on planes that flew above the rocks would experience gauges not working or spinning wildly suggesting strong magnetic fields. Once again I had used the tri field meter which gave off normal readings although my GPS had mysteriously shut off, thermal scanner readings of the rocks gave different temperatures from 80 degrees to 104 depending on their position to the sun which had been baking the rocks all day. Very interesting place to say the least.

May 25, 2003 Received a report of crop circles in parts of MD, further reports suggested the circles were caused by natural occurrence due to the recent wind and rain we have had. While driving in Lancaster County I noticed in a field what appeared to be a crop circle. I drove home and got my equipment to photograph and video tape the area. Although it was a crop circle it too was weather related and was similar to the photographs taken in MD.

September 2003 While enroute to the PBS conference, Scott Ditmer and I stopped by Gravity Hill in Bedford County. It's here that when putting your car in neutral and take your foot off the brake the car will roll up hill. Does it work, it did for us. Optical illusion or gravity at work? I will leave that answer up to you.

November 7, 2003 The Paranormal Society of Pennsylvania was joined by members of the Enigma Project, The Paranormal Research Organization, and the Spirit Society of Pennsylvania for a Paranormal Expedition to the mysterious stone chambers of New York. Reports of hauntings, UFO's, aliens, and other mysterious phenomen are said to be in and around the area of the chambers.

In the center of this photo is an opening to a chamber, as you can see the area is thick with brush. Its at this chamber where aliens have reportedly been seen more than once and even seen running through the brush as if it wasn't there.

The only experience's I had while there were my new batteries in my camera going dead as soon as I turned the camera on. Behind one chamber is a slab some believe may have been used for certain rituals and some say it has healing powers. Living with chronic knee pain I rested my knee on the slab for about 5 minutes. After returning home I can say the pain in my knee has been reduced by 50%. Does the slab have healing powers? Perhaps, but what ever the reason that my knee feels better I am more than grateful.
Some members of the expedition had a few experiences and some equipment did register readings that couldn't be explained. Over all it was a great experience for all of us and we had the advantage of seeing the lunar eclipse from one of the highest points in the Hudson Valley. Most agree the chambers do have a mystery to them and appear older that what's originally believed. It was a great opportunity for PSP members to work with the Enigma Project, Paranormal Research Organization, and the Spirit Society of Pennsylvania.
