1966 Lake Erie Presque Isle Incident

On a July evening in1966 an object was seen to come out of the sky and land on the beach at Presque Isle. A monster was also reportedly seen and the tracks of the creature and what appeared to be landing marks in the sand were found the next morning. The Air Force investigated the incident and ruled it a hoax. They claimed nothing landed but went on to say the impressions left in the sand were made by an object that weighed between 800 to one thousand pounds yet no vehicle marks were found in the sand leading up to the impressions, leading me to believe that something did land on the beach that evening. Just recently I watched a news broadcast where a man claimed he was responsible for the incident. He made a balloon that he purchased from Boys Life magazine but that type of balloon wouldn't have made those impressions in the sand. What landed on the beach that night in 1966 remains a mystery. If you have any information on this incident or know of someone who does please contact me, all information kept strictly confidential.

1974 Carbondale Lantern/UFO Incident

On the evening of Saturday November 9, 1974 in Carbondale, PA three teens were witness to a bright object that they say hovered and landed in a silt pond behind Russell Park. Other witnesses also reported seeing strange lights and objects in the sky that evening. Later that evening police and crowds of Carbondale residents surrounded the pond to watch a submerged object emit a glow that lasted for over nine hours. The police soon secured the area with the help of the Civil Air Patrol and National Guard to keep residents and for a time the news media from entering the area. It wasn't until Monday afternoon that a diver was sent in the pond to retrieve the object and came up minutes later with a railroad lantern ending the three day saga. It was quickly ruled a hoax and mostly forgotten about except for a few individuals who always believed it was something much more than a lantern. Many witnesses have reported seeing a military low boy truck leaving the area under cover of darkness with a large object loaded unto it that was covered with a tarp.

For over six years I have been investigating the mystery surrounding  this event in an attempt to write a book. I have interviewed dozens of witnesses, some who believe it was nothing more than a lantern, some believe the object to have been of Soviet origin, and there are those who believe that the object may have been extraterrestrial. It is my belief that what ever was in the pond was not a lantern although I have yet to provide any real hard evidence to support my belief. If you have any information on this incident or know of someone who does please contact me, all information kept strictly confidential.
